I have been a patient at The Magnificent Smile since I was a little girl in the 1950's. Dr. Joseph Schwarz was the dentist for my six siblings and me. Dr. Frericks is my dentist now and I appreciate his conservative approach to dentistry. He's a terrific dentist! Joanne (as well as the other hygienists) does a great job cleaning my teeth--I hope she never retires! Jamie is a wonderful front person in the office and is always a friendly face.

I am very thankful to have been recommended to this practice by my physician. Dr. Frericks is the dentist who sees me, and the dental hygienist is JoAnn, and they are both gems. It's nice to finally have a dental practice where they are truly professionals and know what they're doing. I highly recommend them.

I’ve been coming here for years. Dr. Frericks is more focused on quality dental care than trying to upsell you on unnecessary procedures or cosmetic add-ons. To be clear, if you want teeth whitening or other cosmetic work, they do it and they do it well I just appreciate their focus on what’s best for the customer. I recently had a bit of an emergency with a cracked tooth and Dr Schwartz and Andrea Stepped in And I could tell I was in good hands. They are fantastic.

All the employees are extremely friendly and they are in a great location on Michigan Ave. I went for a regular cleaning and ended up having a cavity. Luckily they we’re able to fill it on the spot and I was out of the office within an hour. I saw Dr. Bohrer who provided great care and really took the time to get to know me.

I've been a patient of Dr Frericks' for over 40 years. He is highly skilled with attention to proactive dental care. Nearly all the staff are long term, a sign of the professionalism of this practice. A particular treasure is dental hygienist Joann Butters who has been with the practice for over 30 years. I had an amazing experience at the Magnificent Smile during my recent trip with unexpected dental incident! From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly welcoming, especially Jaime, and professional. Dr. Frericks was not only highly skilled but also very gentle and reassuring, which made me feel at ease throughout the entire procedure. Despite being away from home, I felt completely taken care of and confident in the quality of care I received. I highly recommend the Magnificent Smile to anyone in need of dental services, whether you're a local or just passing through. It was my best decision to visit this dental practice to save my dental incident. Thank you for making my dental visit a pleasant and stress-free experience!

I have been a patient of this extraordinarily caring, compassionate, and highly professional dental practice since October, 2023. At that time, in dire need of emergency dental work, I was referred by a highly-rated Chicago oral surgeon, to Drs. Frericks and Schwarz. They did not disappoint! I was seen immediately upon my arrival, and my extreme need for emergency dental first aid was promptly, graciously and efficiently attended to my complete satisfaction. And the exceptional TLC exhibited by Drs. Schwarz and Frericks on day one continues through the date of this review! Nor is the impressive personal touch always exhibited by Drs. Frericks and Schwarz limited to their professional staff -- Jamie, the Magnificent Smile's remarkable gracious, always obliging receptionist sets the perfect welcoming tone with her warm and charming demeanor. As an octogenarian, I have visited many dental offices during my many years, but in my experience NO OTHER DENTAL OFFICE has been as accommodating and obliging has been the Magnificent Smile. Indeed, due to the extremely warm and friendly atmosphere at the Magnificient Smile, it is almost as if I am LOOKING FOR A REASON to see the dentist. In summary, my five (5) star rating would, instead, be a ten (10) stars, if that category of praise was an available choice!

Always a friendly welcome from Jamie at front desk , as a long time patient I can tell you your in great experienced hands-Ashley is friendly and warm and makes you feel relaxed and in professional hands, Dr Ingrid is exceptional . You would never know you were in the heart of a bustling city -a very warm and comfortable environment .

Just had my teeth whitened by Natalia. She is amazing! She explains the procedure clearly, and makes you feel really comfortable. And my teeth are whiter! My hygienist is JoAnn. I've been seeing her for years and can't say enough great things about her. She let's me know where I'm at with x-rays (when I had my last ones), if I need them and any changes she sees from the last time. I ask her so many questions every time and she explains them and offers me suggestions. She has never pushed any product on me, and when she suggests something that may help with an issue I'm having, she offers OTC options if available. Dr. Schwarz is top notch. She's friendly and fun. You don't often get that with a dentist :) She also explains what she's doing and will break it down for you if needed. When I've had issues she tells me my options, and what each one means. She has never steered me wrong. Jamie at the front desk is so awesome. If I owe anything it's a fast and easy process to pay. And she'll let you know what your insurance has covered. And you will get a cost estimate before any treatment - and it has always been accurate. I've been going to this dental office for over a decade and can't imagine a better, more friendly and professional team.

I've been a patient at this dental office for nearly 10 years and have always had a good experience. The staff is friendly, the office is clean and well-maintained, and the care is consistently professional. I've had both routine cleanings and a few fillings done over the years, and everything has been handled efficiently and with attention to detail. The location is also convenient when I'm working downtown, which makes scheduling appointments easier. Overall, a solid and reliable dental practice.
